22 February 1810: Frederic Chopin was born in Zelazowa Wola, Poland. He is renowned as one of the greatest composers and pianists of the Romantic era.
Chopin is best known for his deeply expressive and technically challenging piano compositions, including nocturnes, waltzes, polonaises, and études.
