On this day in music history: 12 February
Today's dose of music history celebrates Pink Anderson.
12 February 1900: Pink Anderson was born in Laurens, South Carolina, USA. He was a blues singer and guitarist.
Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett created the band's name by juxtaposing the first names of Anderson and North Carolina bluesman Floyd Council.
In each audience there is at least one person, for whom it is a deep spiritual experience to hear music...I always perform for these few. Ivan Fischer
